These red and white cotton flags match the guidelines set by the All Japan Kendo Federation for use in Shiai. They are used by the referees to award ippon and communicate decisions - one set per referee, three per court.

The handles are made of wood and are 35cm long, whilst the flags themselves are 25cm x 25cm.
